Track an Apple-billed food-app refund from request to decision to returned funds, while checking future renewal separately.
An approval message and money arriving back on a card are different events. If you requested a refund for a food app, identify the transaction's current stage before deciding what is missing. This guide covers purchases billed through Apple; a developer or another payment provider has its own process.
Start with the exact purchase
Keep a private note of the app, purchase date, receipt, purchasing Apple Account and original payment method. Match the receipt before following a refund link. According to Apple's refund instructions, eligible purchases can be selected on its Report a Problem service: choose the refund option, give the actual reason and select the item. Eligibility varies, and a pending charge cannot yet be submitted for refund. A different purchasing account can explain a missing item.
Submitting a request does not mean it will be approved. Apple currently asks users to allow 24–48 hours for a decision update; this is not a promise that cash will arrive within that window.

For a fictional example, Maya sees an approval on Monday, but her card statement has no matching credit on Tuesday. Her note should say “approved; return not yet observed.” Calling the entire request unsuccessful would discard the approval evidence; calling it fully settled would invent a credit. Neither conclusion follows from those two observations.
Check the appropriate status
Apple's refund-status guidance explains where to inspect pending claims and that approved money returns through the original payment method. Timing depends on that method. Its current card guidance allows up to 30 days before contacting the financial institution about a missing refund. Access to a refunded item may also end. Check the current official page for your payment method rather than treating another person's timing as a deadline for yours.
Keep future subscription renewal in a separate box until you have checked its actual status. Resolve the existing transaction before considering another paid offer.
