After uninstalling a food app, find the account-data deletion route
Find a food app developer's account-deletion request route and distinguish its acknowledgment, completion and disclosed retention.
Removing a food app from your phone does not, by itself, establish what happened to an account held by its developer. If you want that account and associated data deleted, locate the developer's actual request route and keep evidence of the request separate from evidence of completion.
Find the route for the correct account
Google Play's account-deletion policy guidance explains requirements for in-scope apps that offer account creation. These include a request route within the app and a web resource, so users who already uninstalled can still request deletion. The web route should identify the app or developer and make the request process accessible. This policy describes requirements; it does not prove that a particular app's current implementation works.
Start from the verified store listing and its developer or deletion information. Match the app and developer before entering account details. The account in question is the food app's account, not your entire Google Account.
A fictional request after uninstalling
Ravi has already removed a food app. He finds its verified web resource and wants to understand what a request would cover. Before submitting anything, he creates four private fields:
| Field | What to establish |
|---|---|
| Account scope | Which app account and associated data the request concerns |
| Retention | What the developer says it will retain and why |
| Process | Required steps and stated completion expectations |
| Billing | Any subscription status or separate cancellation step |
If the verified web route works, he need not reinstall simply to locate an in-app button. If the route is missing, broken or unclear, he records that gap and asks the developer through its verified support channel. He does not assume that uninstalling completed the request.
Acknowledgment is not completion
After a request, preserve the acknowledgment and date privately. A message saying that it was received is different from a completion notice. If the stated process remains unresolved, follow up using the request reference through the same verified channel.
Google allows legitimate retention for purposes such as security, fraud prevention or regulatory compliance when explained. Its guidance also expects deletion dependencies, such as any required subscription cancellation, to be clear. It does not supply one universal deletion deadline or guarantee that every record disappears immediately.
Use the exit route as part of app selection
Before trusting a new food app with account data, check its current terms and available controls. You can inspect Ingredi AI on the Google Play or App Store. No Ingredi deletion interface or completed deletion was tested for this guide; confirm the actual process before relying on it or choosing a paid plan.
