Work through the arithmetic without changing the bill
Consider a fictional offer of USD 48 billed annually, described as equivalent to USD 4 per month. Dividing 48 by 12 explains the comparison figure. It does not turn the offer into twelve monthly payments. A second fictional plan charging USD 6 each month would total USD 72 over twelve unchanged monthly charges. Neither figure is an Ingredi AI price, and neither calculation includes an unstated tax or discount.
If you expect to use the app for only one shopping project, an annual comparison figure answers a different question from the amount you are willing to pay now. Compare both the commitment and the feature you need. Do not assume a shorter plan is available merely because you would prefer it.
Check which kind of purchase you are accepting
Apple explains the difference between subscriptions and other in-app purchases; its subscription description includes automatic renewal unless canceled. Google Play's subscription guidance distinguishes recurring subscriptions from prepaid plans and payment plans. Those categories have different implications, and a platform supporting a category does not mean Ingredi offers it.
If an introductory amount appears, record the later amount separately. If there is a commitment to several payments, record that commitment rather than treating the next payment as the entire cost. Read the final purchase screen again if you switch plans.
